<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sphygmomanometer for measuring a blood pressure when a person to be measured calms down and is at rest to obtain accurate blood pressure. <P>SOLUTION: The sphygmomanometer 1 includes: an arm band part 2 to be mounted on the upper arm of the person to be measured; a sphygmomanometer body 10 to be connected with the arm band part 2 when measuring the blood pressure; an ischemic airbag 14 arranged in the arm band part 2, for pressurizing the upper arm T with air supplied from a pump in the sphygmomanometer body 10; an airbag 50 for detecting Korotkoff sound arranged in the arm band part 2, for detecting pulse wave signals GL as variation signals from the artery of the upper arm with the air supplied from the pump in the sphygmomanometer body 10; and a control part 120 for allowing the start of a blood pressure measuring operation since the person to be measured is at rest when the pulse wave signals GL obtained from the airbag 50 for detecting Korotkoff sound are in a predetermined threshold range RLL, and determining that the person to be measured is not at rest and prohibiting the start of the blood pressure measuring operation when the pulse wave signals GL exceeds the range of the threshold RLL. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
