<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which has a function coping with user's losing sight of a subject and is capable of taking an image of the subject while preventing deterioration in image quality of a taken image. <P>SOLUTION: A digital camera 1 comprises a range control unit 11a and a display control unit 11b. In accordance with zooming operation on a zoom lens, the range control unit 11a performs zooming control to perform electronic zooming within a predetermined zooming range and to perform optical zooming when the predetermined zooming range is exceeded. When losing of sight of a subject is detected, the display control unit 11b controls display on a display screen 18a of a display unit 18 so that an image in a not-zoomed range in the imaging range of an imaging element is displayed on the display screen 18a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
