<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device capable of conveying a medium to be recorded without causing sag in the medium to be recorded even when an outside diameter of a roll body becomes small, and to provide a method for controlling the recording device. <P>SOLUTION: The recording device 11 includes: a target supporting part 18 supporting a roll-shaped target 12a; a supporting means 28; target conveying systems 25 and 33 including a driving roller 25a, and intermittently conveying a target 12 to the supporting means 28; a recording part 36 performing recording processing to the target 12; a controller 44 controlling each conveying operation of the target 12 by the driving roller 25a; and an outside diameter measuring part 70 measuring the outside diameter of the roll-shaped target 12a before starting the conveying operation of the target 12. When the outside diameter of the roll-shaped target 12a measured by the outside diameter measuring part 70 is equal to or under a predetermined value, the controller 44 increases acceleration of the driving roller 25a in an acceleration driving step for accelerating at least the driving roller 25a to the predetermined speed from a stop state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
