<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the contact failure of a signal line between an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus body and an ultrasonic probe regarding transmission and reception of signals concerning the operation of the ultrasonic probe. <P>SOLUTION: This ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes the ultrasonic probe, the apparatus body and a probe connector. The probe connector connects the ultrasonic probe to the apparatus body. The probe connector includes a plug and a receptacle fittable to each other, and a pressure mechanism. The plug and the receptacle have a plurality of contact pads and a plurality of contacts arranged in plane regions respectively. The pressure mechanism is disposed within the plane region to heighten contact pressure between the contact pads and contacts. A probe identification signal line for transmitting/receiving probe identification signals for the apparatus body to identify the ultrasonic probe at least is arranged at the contact pads arranged in a region near the pressure mechanism within the plane region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
