<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external component and a portable terminal apparatus that can prevent deterioration of commercial value. <P>SOLUTION: An external component 140 attached to a portable terminal apparatus 100 includes a curved surface 141 attachable to a convex surface 111 of the portable terminal apparatus 100, and attaching portions 142a and 142b fixed to the portable terminal apparatus 100.
