ELECTRIC WIRE, POWER CABLE, AND PROTECTIVE RELAY SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric wire allowing early detection of a ground fault, such as metal contact, which causes a breaker to trip in a short time.

SOLUTION: An electric wire 10 in which a plurality of conductors 11 are coated with an insulating coating 12 is characterized in that a carbon film 13 is interposed between the plurality of conductors 11 and the insulating coating 12. The carbon film 13 is made of a carbon-based resistor with a thickness of about 1 mm. When an area S of contact between the carbon film 13 and the plurality of conductors 11 is 13 mm2, a sheet resistance R of the carbon film 13 is 12000 Ω/13 mm2.
