Device, preferably tri-bological system comprises: (a) a first body (1); and (b) a second body (2) adapted to stand with the first body in a sliding-rolling contact, where a thermo-kinetically produced first coating (3) is disposed on the first body and a second coating is disposed on the second body. The second coating (4) is produced with a gas phase deposition method. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a transmission with the device, preferably the tri-bological system, where the first body and the second body each have teeth, which engage one another and transmit force; and (2) a method for producing two bodies of the tri-bological system, which are intended to stand in a sliding-rolling contact comprising coating partially the first body with the first coating in the thermo-kinetic method, and coating the surface of the second body with the second layer in the gas phase deposition method.
