Provided are: a composition for an aqueous coating material, which contains a fluorine-containing copolymer and has excellent long-term storage stability and excellent storage stability in cases where various components to be added into coating materials are added therein; and a two pack curable aqueous coating material kit having excellent storage stability, in which the composition for an aqueous coating material and a curing agent composition are used in combination. A composition for an aqueous coating material, which is characterized by containing water and particles that are formed from a fluorine-containing copolymer (A) and have an average particle diameter of 50-100 nm and by having a pH of 7.0-9.5. The fluorine-containing copolymer (A) contains, relative to all the polymerization units contained in the copolymer: 40-60% by mole of fluoroolefin polymerization units (a1); 1-5% by mole of polymerization units (a2) that have carboxyl groups, 95-100% by mole of which have changed into carboxylate groups; 4-30% by mole of polymerization units (a3) that have crosslinkable groups other than carboxyl groups; and 3-50% by mole of polymerization units (a4) that have groups, each of which has an ether bond or an ester bond in a side chain.
