ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENT DISPLAY DEVICE AND ITS DRIVING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method for an organic electroluminescent display device capable of displaying an image at uniform luminance.

SOLUTION: A driving method for an organic electroluminescent display device for driving with one frame divided into plural sub-frames includes: a step of storing bit change values mutually different in accordance with light emission time on plural lookup tables so as to compensate the deterioration of an organic light-emitting diode; a step of selecting a specific lookup table from the plural lookup tables; a step of storing the light emission time of each pixel; a step of extracting the bit change value from the specific lookup table in accordance with the light emission time of a specific pixel among the pixels upon the input of first data supplied to the specific pixel; and a step of generating second data by changing the bit value of the first data supplied to the specific pixel with the use of the extracted bit change value.
