<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate management of a value of game media delivered in exchange for articles without greatly modifying a system. <P>SOLUTION: When exchanging with a desired article of a prescribed value by using a possessing value, an exchange instruction in which at least the prescribed value can be specified is accepted (Se2). On condition that the exchange instruction has been accepted during the reception of recording media for a game, first specifying processing is performed for the purpose of making it possible to specify, from the recording media for a game during the reception, a remaining possessing value which is obtained by subtracting the prescribed value from the possessing value (Se3B-8). On condition that the first specifying processing has been performed, the recording media for a game during the reception is discharged (Se11, 13). In accordance with discharging of the recording media for a game during the reception, second specifying processing is performed for the purpose of making it possible to specify the prescribed value from new recording media for a game (Se14-20).
