Provided is a small-sized reactor that has excellent heat dissipation properties. A reactor (1) comprises: an assembly (10) that comprises a coil (2) and a magnetic core (3) on which the coil (2) is arranged; and a case (4) that contains the assembly (10). The case (4) comprises: a bottom plate portion (40) that comes into contact with a fixation object when the reactor (1) is set on the fixation object; a lateral surface portion (41) that is affixed to the bottom plate portion (40) with an adhesive and surrounds the assembly (10); and a bonding layer (42) that secures the coil (2) to the inner surface of the bottom plate portion (40). The bottom plate portion (40) is configured of a material that has a higher thermal conductivity than that of the lateral surface portion (41). By bonding the coil (2) to the bottom plate portion (40) by means of the bonding layer (42) in addition to comprising the bottom plate portion (40) that has a high thermal conductivity, the heat of the coil (2) is easily transferred to the bottom plate portion (40) and thus the reactor (1) has excellent heat dissipation properties. By integrating the bottom plate portion (40) and the lateral surface portion (41) with an adhesive, the thicknesses of the portions (40, 41) can be thin and thus the reactor (1) is small in size.
