<p>The invention relates generally to covering materials for bedding articles that are moisture vapour permeable and liquid impermeable, and comprise a fabric that based on its intrinsic features, contributes to the functional characteristics of the covering material like, moisture vapour permeability, mechanical strength, machine wash-ability, flame resistance, and texture perception upon touch. The covering material of the present invention can find a variety of applications wherein moisture vapour permeability; liquid imperviousness; and comfort are desirable. A primary use relates to protect mattresses, particularly bed mattresses, but also pillows, cushions, duvets, or upholstery from contaminants, e.g. liquids or bodily fluids.</p> |
