METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR POWER HEADROOM REPORTING IN THE PRESENCE OF MULTIPLE TRANSMIT ANTENNAS

PURPOSE: A method and system for power headroom reporting in a presence of multiple transmit antennas are provided to optimize data transmission by synchronizing locally accumulated values in both a mobile terminal and a base station. CONSTITUTION: A user equipment receives a TPC(Transmit Power Control) command from an eNodeB(410). The user equipment determines allocation to PUSCH(Physical Uplink Shared Channel) or PUCCH(Physical Uplink Control Channel) in a current sub-frame(420). Entire transmission power is determined based on the latest recent PUSCH or the PUCCH transmission(430). The entire transmission power is based on transmission power calculated for the PUSCH or the PUCCH in the current sub-frame. The user equipment determines a state causing the entire transmission power(450). Entire TPC commands are added to an accumulated value(460).
