<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type display device capable of avoiding a situation where a keystone correction amount is changed by a factor other than an operation, and also to provide a control method thereof. <P>SOLUTION: Whether or not an operation is not performed anymore based on an output value of an operation part 12 is monitored in an adjustment mode to change a keystone correction amount in accordance with the output value.
