<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear actuator which has an increased degree of freedom in design of a holder for holding a coil. <P>SOLUTION: A linear actuator includes: an outer tube 1; an inner tube 2 which is slidably inserted into the outer tube 1; a rod 3 which is erected in an axial core portion of the inner tube 2 and forms a tubular gap A between the rod and the inner tube 2; a field magnet 4 which is composed of a plurality of permanent magnets 40 arranged side by side in an axial direction and held on the rod 3; and a holder 5 which is fixed to the outer tube 1 while holding a plurality of coils 50 facing the field magnet 4. The linear actuator generates thrust for relatively displacing the outer tube 1 and the inner tube 2 in the axial direction. The holder 5, which is fixed to the outer tube 1 via a flange portion 52, comprises: a cylindrical coil holder portion 51 which is inserted into the tubular gap A in a freely protruding and receding manner from a leading end side so as to hold the coils 50 on an inner periphery; and the flange portion 52 which is continuously provided on a base end side of the coil holder portion 51. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
