<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the generation of noise resulting from the demodulation of an identification signal into a sound at the end of communication. <P>SOLUTION: In a radio communication system 100, a transmitting side radio unit 110a includes a tone encoder 126 for generating a release signal for releasing an output restriction on audio output in a receiving side radio unit 110b, an MSK encoder 124 for generating an identification signal, a transmission section 128 for transmitting an audio signal, the identification signal and the release signal, and a transmission control section 160 for stopping the transmission of the release signal before starting the transmission of the identification signal at the end of transmission.
