<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting means for detecting or generating a measurement signal that shows human respiration. <P>SOLUTION: The detecting means can be used suitably in consideration of hygiene, and is excellent with a simple and robust configuration. In a first embodiment, the detecting means detects a signal that shows activity of the respiratory muscles of a body to be examined. The detecting means has: a belt means which is wound around an expanding/contracting body region at the applied position when the body to be examined breathes; and a structure which is included in the belt means and is loaded in response to the contraction or expansion of the body region. The structure is configured so that the volume of a measurement space means changes depending on tension. A user, therefore, can detect or measure non-electrically the force applied on the belt means and can draw a conclusion about the expansion or contraction of the body on the basis of the detection or measurement. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
