<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that suppresses an increase in the number of components inside a self-rotation device and can accurately recognize an amount of toner of image forming devices. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a self-rotation device in which a plurality of image forming devices are provided, one of the image forming devices is allowed to face a surface of an image holding body to form a toner image, and the image forming device is switched by self-rotation of the self-rotation device; a detector that are mounted on at least one of the plurality of image forming devices and that detects an amount of toner housed in the image forming device to output an analog signal representing the amount of toner; a transmission path that transmits the analog signal output by the detector to the outside of the self-rotation device has a rotary terminal that is mounted on the self-rotation device and rotates according to the self-rotation of the self-rotation device and a contact terminal that is arranged outside of the self-rotation device to contact a surface of the rotary terminal so as to maintain conduction of the rotary terminal even when the rotary terminal rotates; and a correction part that applies a correction corresponding to contact resistance of the rotary terminal and the contact terminal to the analog signal transmitted by the transmission path. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
