<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feature image data change notification device that gives notice of content change of feature image data on the same spot. <P>SOLUTION: In the feature image data notification device, map information holding means holds map information, holds feature image data corresponding to the map information, and holds feature image data relation information in which photographic date information on the feature image data, position information corresponding to the feature image data, and feature image data identification information are related to one another. Feature image data retrieval means retrieves feature image data corresponding to route surroundings that route retrieval means retrieves. Then, feature image data content change determination means performs image analysis processing etc., on feature image data on the same spot among feature image data that the feature image data retrieval means retrieves to determine whether the feature image data has different contents.
