<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an olfactory receptor responding to muguet and a method for evaluating and/or selecting a muguet essence material by using the receptor. <P>SOLUTION: The method for selecting a candidate substance of a muguet essence material includes: a process for adding a test substance to any one or more of OR10A6, OR2W1, and an olfactory receptor selected from among a group comprising polypeptide having identity of 80% or more in amino acid sequence to OR10A6 and OR2W1; a process for measuring a response of the receptor to the test substance; and a process for selecting the test substance as the candidate substance of the muguet essence material on the basis of the measured response. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
