The electric machine has a stator (10) having a cooling passage (22) including preset flow path for circulation of coolant. The one end of cooling passage is connected to inlet (26) and other end is connected to exhaust opening (28). The inlet and exhaust opening are positioned in side by side manner. A specific flow path is formed in spacing between the inlet and exhaust opening, by bypassing the preset flow path and by bridging the inlet and exhaust opening.
