PURPOSE: A query of a moving object processing apparatus in a mobile communication system and method thereof are provided to reduce unnecessary communication between a server and a moving object in a location based service. CONSTITUTION: A server expands a resident area including queries for a moving object(300) when the moving object uses a location based service. The moving object reduces the communication number with the server by expanding the resident area. The server establishes the resident area including the queries related to the moving object. The moving object communicates with the server in order to reduce the communication number in the resident area.
