The parent patent described a vertical cylindrical steam generator vessel using a liquid metal as heating medium around an exchange battery in which water rises continually from an external tube plate beneath the vessel; an improved construction reduces fluctuations in the level of liquid metal and offers simplified maintenance; basically, this entails bringing the water connections to the battery into the vessel inside an annular zone between two cylindrical sleeves coaxial with the vessel. This exchanger is well adapted to employ a nuclear reactor as its source of energy.
