<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity of a square lithium secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: In a square lithium secondary battery, a flat axial core 400 is formed into a rectangular plate shape provided with recesses 402 on both faces. When positive and negative electrodes 2 and 1 and separators 3 and 4 are wound around the flat axial core 400, the recesses 402 are closed by the positive and negative electrodes 2 and 1 and the separators 3 and 4. However, the recesses 402 are communicated to a battery container interior space located outside a wound electrode group 30 via through-holes 412, and the recesses are communicated to each other via through-holes 414. Thus, the recesses 402 are communicated to the outside of the flat wound electrode group 30. Consequently, an electrolyte injected into a peripheral edge of the flat wound electrode group 30 is smoothly flown into the recesses via the through-holes and stored into the recesses 402 and the through-holes. Therefore, a large amount electrolyte can be injected at a high speed because the electrolyte can be smoothly injected not only around the flat wound electrode group 30 but also inside it, making it possible to improve productivity of the square lithium secondary battery. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
