<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge device for a vehicle which is capable of surely working and discharging the charge of a capacitor when an abnormality about the collision of the vehicle is detected. <P>SOLUTION: A power control unit (PCU) case 15 accommodates an electric circuit of a PCU 14 that includes a first capacitor 31 and is operated by the supply of power from a storage battery 20. In the electric circuit, a first bus bar is connected to a part in the vicinity of the anode of the first capacitor 31, and a second bus bar is connected to a part in the vicinity of the cathode of the first capacitor 31. A discharge mechanism 40 is formed by connecting in series a switch 50 activated by an explosive actuator and a discharging resistor 41. The discharge mechanism 40 is integrally fixed to the PCU case 15. When a collision of the vehicle is detected, the discharge mechanism 40 short-circuits the first bus bar and the second bus bar with each other through the activation of the switch 50. Accordingly, the discharge mechanism 40 is connected in series with the first capacitor S1, so that the discharging resistor 41 discharges the charge of the first capacitor 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
