<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical heat insulating material capable of flexibly dealing with variations in thermal device products to be attached and superior in workability of extrapolation. <P>SOLUTION: The cylindrical heat insulating material comprises a cylindrical core material 1 including binder-processed cloth obtained by processing fabric woven from a filament of inorganic fiber with a binder, a wound heat insulating element 5 formed by binding a flexible heat insulating sheet of a fabric base material in which inorganic aerogel is dispersed around the outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical core material 1, and an outer wrapping material 3 stacked on the outermost circumferential surface of the wound heat insulating element 5 and including inorganic fiber as a principal component. It is preferable for the thickness of the cylindrical core material 1 to be 0.3 to 3.0 mm and for the inorganic binder to be immersed inside of the fabric or applied to the surface of the fabric. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
