CARBON OFFSET ACTIVITY SUPPORT METHOD, SYSTEM, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it easier for a company or an organization to participate in a carbon offset activity and provide a supply item to make known to the consuming public that the company and the like are participating in the carbon offset activity.

SOLUTION: A carbon offset activity support system includes: communication means for accepting an order of a supply item displaying that the supply item is a product or a service contributing to carbon offsetting, from a user terminal; and managing means for calculating a corresponding offset amount of greenhouse gas based on an applicable amount of carbon offsetting per supply item and the number of orders of the supply item in the order accepted by the communication means, assigning a unique code to the calculated offset amount of the greenhouse gas based on a serial number attached to a greenhouse gas reduction value purchased from a provider, and controlling a printer so as to issue a carbon offset certificate displaying the unique code.
