<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict tilting of a moving member and a tube member and achieve miniaturization and weight. <P>SOLUTION: In a webbing retractor 10, the center of a rack 96 and rack-teeth 96A in an axial direction of a pinion 50 is placed on the opposite side of a leg plate 12B with respect to the central axis of a cylinder 66. Accordingly, a piston 88 is acted upon by a tilting-force toward the leg plate 12B side from the pinion 50 when the rack 96 is meshed with a gear 52 to rotate the pinion 50 as the piston 88 is moved. Hereat, a stop portion 84A of an upper stay 74 is placed on a leg plate 12C side of the leg plate 12B. Accordingly, even when the piston 88 is acted upon by the tilting force toward the leg plate 12B side from the pinion 50, the stop portion 84A can stop the movement of the leg plate 12B toward the leg plate 12C side, and tilting of the piston 88 and the cylinder 66 toward the leg plate 12B side can be suppressed. Moreover, the need to increase the strength of a frame 12 and so forth can be eliminated, so the webbing retractor can be made compact and lightweight. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
