<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus of performing a spatial process by using a nonequivalent modulation system and coding rate (MCS: Modulation and Coding Scheme), that is, a stream-dependent MCS. <P>SOLUTION: Input data may be divided into a plurality of data streams. A spatial process is executed to the data streams to generate a plurality of spatial streams. An MCS to each data stream is selected independently of the others. The spatial streams are transmitted via a plurality of transmission antennas. At least one technique of space-time block coding (STBC), space-frequency block coding (SFBC), pseudo orthogonal Alamouti coding, time reversal space-time block coding, linear spatial processing, and cyclic delay diversity (CDD) may be executed to the data/spatial streams. An antenna mapping matrix may be applied to the spatial streams. The spatial streams are transmitted via the plurality of transmission antennas.
