<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus of performing a spatial process by using a nonequivalent modulation system and coding rate (MCS: Modulation and Coding Scheme), that is, a stream-dependent MCS. <P>SOLUTION: Input data may be divided into a plurality of data streams. A spatial process is executed to the data streams to generate a plurality of spatial streams. An MCS to each data stream is selected independently of the others. The spatial streams are transmitted via a plurality of transmission antennas. At least one technique of space-time block coding (STBC), space-frequency block coding (SFBC), pseudo orthogonal Alamouti coding, time reversal space-time block coding, linear spatial processing, and cyclic delay diversity (CDD) may be executed to the data/spatial streams. An antenna mapping matrix may be applied to the spatial streams. The spatial streams are transmitted via the plurality of transmission antennas. An MCS to each data stream may be decided based on a signal-to-noise ratio for each spatial stream related to the data stream. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
