AIR DIFFUSER AND METHOD OF OPERATING MEMBRANE SEPARATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air diffuser preventing a possibility of damaging a blower and eliminating the necessity of a gas-liquid separator and a method of operating a membrane separation device.

SOLUTION: The membrane separation device includes: an aerobic tank 7 storing sludge; a membrane separation module 12 installed in the aerobic tank 7; the air diffuser 14 installed below the membrane separation module 12; and the blower 13 supplying gas to the air diffuser 14 via an air supply pipe 15 and an air supply/discharge pipe 16. A negative pressure generating device for making inside of an air diffusing pipe 17 of the air diffuser 14 negative pressure is connected to the air supply/discharge pipe 16. The negative pressure generating device is an ejector 20 using the blower 13.
