<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a name resolution apparatus that can automatically connect terminals such as SIP terminals to main apparatuses selected according to a predetermined policy. <P>SOLUTION: The name resolution apparatus includes: reception means for receiving from a terminal a request for name resolution which includes a URL corresponding to a system including a master main apparatus and one or more slave main apparatuses; name resolution means for selecting one main apparatus from the master main apparatus and one or more slave main apparatuses according to a predetermined policy and acquiring an IP address of the selected main apparatus; and transmission means for replying to the terminal with the IP address. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
