<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorbing member restricted in costs by manufacturing a compact fitting member inexpensively. <P>SOLUTION: In this fitting member 30 to be embedded in a block body 20 in the state of being exposed with a surface thereof, a body part 32 formed with a fitting hole 34 passing through the body part 32 includes a first lock part 36 and a second lock part 36, which project in a direction crossing a passing-through direction of the fitting hole 34. The first lock part 36 is formed with a projection end 36a, being displaced from a first wall surface 32a of the body part 32 toward a second wall surface 32b side. The second lock part 38 is formed with a projection end 38a, being displaced from a second wall surface 32a toward a first wall surface 32a side. The first lock part 36 is provided, being removed from a second wall surface 32b side of the second lock part 38, and the second lock part 38 is provided, being displaced from the second wall surface 32 side of the second lock part 38.
