<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foam prevention device, in a discharge channel to discharge water into a river or an ocean area, which is capable of reducing a splash of foam and production of foam flowing downstream. <P>SOLUTION: A foam prevention device is arranged between a water tank 20 to store discharge water from an upstream discharge pipe 1 and a downstream water discharge area 7 into which the discharge water is discharged. The water tank 20 has an upstream side water tank 20a which is located upstream in the water tank 20 and a downstream side water tank 20b which is located downstream in the water tank 20 and deeper than the upstream side water tank 20a. The downstream side water tank 20b has a plurality of discharge pipes 21a to 21c which penetrate a bottom section of the downstream side water tank 20b and discharge the water stored in the water tank 20 into the water discharge area 7.
