<p>The assembly to granulate molten metals in water has a round water container with a water feed (5) and an outflow (6) at the required level. The water feed has an external distribution pipe (7) with a pump (18) and with horizontal water jets (8-14) through the container wall above the outflow at various heights delivering water at a tangent into the container. The angle between the first jet (8) and the outflow, on the container periphery, is at least 90[deg] . The outflow from the first jet is at a rate of 0.5-5.0 m/second, giving the water a swirling motion.</p> |
