<p>Disclosed are a mobile terminal and a method therefor for magnifying a portion of an image in a video call. On the basis of a user command, within an image viewing area of a screen, confirm a display area to be magnified. On the basis of a magnification display area configured and/or a degree of magnification, magnify a remote image found in the display area to be magnified and then place same in the magnification display area, covering the original image viewing area. The method for magnifying a portion of the remote image on a video-enabled phone reduces to the greatest extent the distortion of an image in the magnification process. The present invention solves the difficulty of viewing clearly certain details of a remote image on a mobile phone due to the limited screen size on video-enabled phone terminals presently available on the market. Users of mobile terminals employing the present invention are allowed to capture in real-time certain image information of interest being displayed on screen. This enriches the features of the mobile phone and enhances user experience with video-enabled calls.</p> |
