PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanning line adjustment mechanism that adjusts a scanning line with high accuracy, an optical scanner, and an image forming apparatus.

SOLUTION: A long lens unit 20 that is a scanning line adjustment mechanism has an inclination adjustment mechanism 200 including: a helical gear 202 that engages with the head 205b of an adjustment screw 205 and integrally rotates with the adjustment screw 205; a worm gear 203 that engages with the helical gear 202; and a handle member 204 that is a rotation force transmission member that transmits the rotation force by the operation of a user to the worm gear 203.
