PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitter-receiver that causes no deterioration of modulation/demodulation precision due to a phase shift of a local oscillation signal over a high-frequency and wideband range, can deal with frequency hopping, and can reduce the circuit area and power consumption.
SOLUTION: A transmitter-receiver includes: a synthesizer 80 that outputs a low-frequency local oscillation signal; delay circuit arrays 81 and 82 in which a plurality of delay circuits are connected in a multi-stage fashion and a multi-phase local oscillation signal is generated by inputting the local oscillation signal into each delay circuit; and mixer circuits 84 and 85 that performs frequency conversion of a transmitting/receiving signal by the input of the multi-phase local oscillation signal. The delay circuit arrays 81 and 82 and the mixer circuits 84 and 85 are provided in a transmitter circuit and a receiver circuit respectively. The phase of each multi-phase local oscillation signal is adjustable independently. A phase error between multi-phase local oscillation signals in the transmitter circuit is detected by performing feedback of the output of the mixer circuit 84 provided in the transmitter circuit to the mixer circuit 85 provided in the receiver circuit via a loop-back path 86 provided between the transmitter circuit and receiver circuit.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
