<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas treatment device for a diesel engine which is capable of increasing PM concentration of an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) gas. <P>SOLUTION: Electrodes 12, 13 each having different polarity are provided in an exhaust gas flow divider 2 and the PM in the exhaust gas 3 is charged in the prescribed polarity by corona discharge between the electrodes 12, 13. An exhaust gas turning chamber circumferential wall 14 surrounding an exhaust gas turning chamber 9 from the circumference is used as an electrode 13 having polarity reverse to that of the PM to allow the charged PM in the exhaust gas 3 turning in the exhaust gas turning chamber 9 to locally exist near the exhaust gas turning chamber circumferential wall 14 by the centrifugal force and electrostatic force. The exhaust gas 3 containing the locally existing PM is divided to an exhaust gas turning chamber terminal end part 15 as the EGR gas 4 and the exhaust gas 3 near a central cylinder 7 is divided as a discharge gas 5 to the central cylinder 7 from a discharge gas approaching hole 8 and a degassing hole 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
