<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save storage capacity for predicting a temperature in technology for calculating a self-discharge amount discharged from a battery in a stop period when a driving source stops based on a prediction value of the temperature in the stop period in a present vehicle position, calculating a use range lower limit of residual capacity of the battery based on the calculated self-discharge amount and necessary output power and controlling the residual capacity of the battery based on the calculated value. <P>SOLUTION: A controller loaded on a vehicle repetitively receives a weather information map having information on the temperature in a region including the vehicle position at preset time from a center arranged in a place detached from the vehicle (steps 210-250).
