<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buckle and a seat belt device in which play is not likely to occur between the structural components of the buckle, generation of vibration or noise can be suppressed, and passenger discomfort can be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: The buckle 1 includes: a tongue insertion port 2 for inserting a tongue therein; a latch member 3 that engages with the tongue; an operation button 4 for releasing the engagement of the latch member 3; a base member 5 for supporting the latch member 3 and the operation button 4; an upper cover 6 to which the base member 5 is attached; a lower cover 7 that is connected to the upper cover 6 and covers the base member 5; an opening 8 through which penetrates a fixing member 10 fixed to the base member 5. The buckle 1 further includes: an edge part 61 that is formed at the upper cover 6, forms a part of the opening 8, and covers the upper part of the base member 5; a projection 71 formed so as to project from the inner surface of the lower cover 7; and an engagement hole 51 which is formed at the base member 5 and through which the projection 71 can penetrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
