<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distributed optical fiber sensor having high spatial resolution and high frequency resolution. <P>SOLUTION: This distributed optical fiber sensor includes: inspection light generation parts 26 and 27 for ejecting inspection light f obtained by compounding first pulse light f<SB POS="POST">1</SB>based on spatial resolution and second pulse light f<SB POS="POST">2</SB>based on the inverse number of frequency resolution with a phase difference θ to one end 12a of an optical fiber 12; a detection part 30 for detecting a spectrum V from the rays of light relating to a Brillouin scattering phenomenon to be ejected from the one end 12a; and a measurement part 40 for measuring Brillouin frequency shift quantity. The inspection light generation parts 26 and 27 generate a plurality of inspection lights f whose phase difference θ is different, and the inspection part 30 includes: a wave detection part 31 for searching a spectrum V corresponding to each inspection light f from the rays of light relating to the Brillouin scattering phenomenon; and a composition part 36 for compounding the mutual spectrums V.
