The arrangement has a fuel cell with functional units e.g. anodes (5), rolled up for formation of a roller. Terminals (9) are arranged at a front end of the roller. One of the functional units is subdivided into separate segments. The respective segments are arranged one above the other in radial direction, where ends of the stacked segments are located on same radial lines of the roller. The terminals of the respective function units are coupled with common lines. Cooling units are arranged at the front end of the roller. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a fuel cell arrangement.
