<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device capable of facilitating a mounting work of a board cover. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting device includes a cold-cathode tube 18, a chassis 14 for storing the cold-cathode tube 18, a control board 23 mounted on a bottom plate 14a of the chassis 14, the board cover 24 attached to the bottom plate 14a and arranged so as to cover the control board 23, and support pins 25 arranged on the control board 23 and supporting the board cover 24.
