<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a position in a three-dimensional space to be easily designated. <P>SOLUTION: A position calculating system calculates a position in a three-dimensional space based on an operation in an operating device. In the position calculating system, a position in a virtual space is calculated based on a posture of the operating device and an input position against a predetermined input screen provided in the operating device.
