<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that reduces its size and cost and configured such that when image formation is carried out using some of image forming parts, an image forming part/image forming parts not required for the image formation are prevented from being deteriorated. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a recording medium supply part 6 for supplying a recording medium P; recording medium conveying means 8Y, 8M, 8C, and 8Bk for conveying the supplied recording medium P; and the plurality of image forming parts 1Y, 1M, 1C, and 1Bk provided parallel to each other along a conveyance path B for conveying the recording medium P and used for forming images on the conveyed recording medium P. The image forming apparatus is provided with: a first supply path A1 connected to the upstream end of the conveyance path B in the direction of conveyance and used for supplying the recording medium P to the upstream image forming part 1Y; and a second supply path A2 meeting at a certain point in the conveyance path B and used for supplying the recording medium P to the image forming part 1Bk different from the upstream image forming part 1Y. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
