<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sphygmomanometer for accurately measuring a blood pressure even when an arm band part is shifted in a direction around the upper arm when the arm band part is worn on the upper arm of a person to be measured, pressurizing the artery of the upper arm and detecting Korotkoff sound. <P>SOLUTION: The sphygmomanometer includes: an arm band part 2 provided with an airbag 50 for detecting Korotkoff sound; a pressure sensor 140 for detecting a pressure inside the arm band part; a pressurizing means 110 for sending air into an ischemic airbag 14 and pressurizing the upper arm; and a control part 120. When the control part 120 controls the pressurizing means 110 and pressure reducing means 111 and 112 to detect the Korotkoff sound from the artery obtained by a microphone and measure the highest blood pressure value and the lowest blood pressure value, the control part 120 sets thresholds THS and THR larger than base noise so as to exclude the base noise BN1 and BN2 obtained through the microphone and detects only the Korotkoff sound in order to extract the highest blood pressure value and the lowest blood pressure value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
