<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink cartridge which includes an outside air opening part and an ink ejection port and in which an ink chamber configured to store ink in a free state and an absorber housing chamber are partitioned by a partition wall, and which does not cause leakage of ink even when a heat cycle that thermal expansion and contraction are repeated in the ink chamber due to a temperature difference between day and night is caused. <P>SOLUTION: The ink cartridge 1 includes: the absorber housing chamber 6 including the outside air opening part 2 and an ink ejection part 3 and configured to house an ink absorber for absorbing ink; the ink chamber 5 configured to store the ink on a substantially hermetically sealed condition in the free state; and the partition wall 8 including a communicating part 7 that allows the ink chamber and the absorber housing chamber to communicate with each other on a lower side, and partitioning the ink chamber and the absorber housing chamber. In the absorber housing chamber, the ink cartridge 1 includes: an outside air intake part 10 of an outside air introducing path 11 for introducing outside air into the ink chamber, which is located to be opposed to the ink absorber 13 existing upper than the communicating part; and an outside air guiding path 9 for guiding the outside air to the outside air intake part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
