<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioning method and an air conditioner for achieving uniform temperature distribution throughout an entire room. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioning method is provided for discharging an air-conditioned air from a discharge opening into a room, and sucking room air from a suction opening for conditioning the room air. The method includes discharging the air-conditioned cold air from the upper part of the side wall to the ceiling wall of the room to cool the ceiling wall for air conditioning.
