PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus that has less variation in distance measurement accuracy and is free from degradation in distance measurement performance.
SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus has a photo-electric conversion part for converting an optical image formed by an imaging optical system into an electric signal, and an imager in which pixels are two-dimensionally arranged. In the imaging apparatus, at least some of the pixels are focus detection pixels configured to limit a direction of incidence of a luminous flux entering the pixels, and the pixels other than the focus detection pixels are imaging pixels configured so that the direction of incidence of the luminous flux entering the pixels is less limited than the focus detection pixels. The focus detection pixels output at least signals for distance measurement, and the imaging pixels output at least signals for an image. The imaging apparatus is provided with: arithmetic means for calculating an amount of defocus based on the signals from the focus detection pixels; diaphragm means in which an aperture diameter is adjustable; and a light reduction element for changing at least one of quantities of transmitted light.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
