<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device capable of reducing a load applied on a driving portion at low temperature. <P>SOLUTION: A slider portion 18 is configured to move in an x-axis direction along a platen glass 16, in a body 12, and has a light source 28 for irradiating the platen glass 16 with light B. The driving portion moves the slider portion 18. A harness 34 is wiring which is electrically connected to the light source 28, and drawn to the outside of the slider portion 18 to be electrically connected with a power supply. A control portion 40 starts the reading of a document P by accelerating the slider portion 18 at acceleration a1 with the driving portion, when temperature detected by a temperature sensor 41 is not less than predetermined temperature, and starts action by accelerating the slider portion 18 at acceleration a2 smaller than the acceleration a1 with the driving portion 42, when the temperature detected by the temperature sensor 41 is less than the predetermined temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
